PURSUE Logo BlueOklahoma Wesleyan University recognizes that paying for college and paying off loans after graduation can be hard on both parents, and the graduate. Concerns of debt can make many believe that a private liberal arts school, which offers quality Christian education, is impossible and out of their reach. Oklahoma Wesleyan University wants to partner with students to make this impossibility a reality.

The University is offering all incoming students PURSUE, currently the only plan of its kind in the state of Oklahoma. Pursue is a loan repayment assistant program. It allows OKWU to reward students’ hard work and enable them to pursue their calling— no matter what field they choose.

According to University President Dr. Everett Piper, “Oklahoma Wesleyan University’s mission is grounded in the primacy of Jesus Christ, the priority of Scripture the pursuit of truth, and the practice of wisdom. It is very important to us that our students graduate and impact their culture with the Lordship of Jesus Christ and we want to do everything we can to make this possible without any of the undue stress that comes from the repayment of student loans.”

PURSUE is available to all incoming students. Upon graduation, through the PURSUE program, OKWU will partner with students with low to moderate income to assist them in paying back student loans. PURSUE covers all federal student loans, private alternative student loans, and parent PLUS loans. In order to receive assistance, students must graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, and must be employed a minimum of thirty hours a week.

It will be that easy. The decision of where to attend college, and how to pay for it can be difficult, but now it doesn’t have to be. Oklahoma Wesleyan University, one of the top ranked schools in the region with the best professors in the nation, is the place where students are equipped to PURSUE their dreams.
