Earning Your BS in Psychology Studies

This program provides students with a strong foundation in general psychology. Students will gain insight into the cognitive and affective processes that underlie the individual human development and behavior.

Program Overview

The courses in this program are designed to provide supervisors, managers, and other professionals with greater skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and information utilization through the enhanced understanding of human psychology. The courses in this program do not have a clinical emphasis and do not lead to professional licensure.

Admission Requirements

  • Official transcripts verifying a minimum of 45 transferable college credit hours
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED if transferring less than 30 college credit hours
  • An overall grade point average of 2.3 in previous college work
  • A passing score on the TOEFL examination or equivalent taken within the last five years for applicants for whom English is a second language (US citizens exempt)
  • Students enrolling in the Adult Studies program must either own or have access to a computer


Graduation Requirements

  • A total of 126 credit hours are required for graduation
  • The 126 credit hours must include a minimum of 30 hours of the core curriculum
  • Completion of 3 hours Introduction to Adult Studies
  • Completion of 24 hours of General Education
  • Completion of 69 hours of Electives
  • All core Business courses must be completed through OKWU
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.0
  • Payment of all tuition and fees
