OKWU understands the need to equip people in ministry positions with the knowledge and resources to reach out to their community and to our world. The Ministry and Leadership program gives adults empowering, faith-based learning, needed for effective church leadership.
Program Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Church Administration and Leadership is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective church ministry, parachurch ministry and the administration of both. This program will allow you to continue working in your home church while providing you with the leadership and biblical education you desire. You can receive the M&L degree as an AA or BS.

Admission Requirements
- Official transcripts verifying a minimum of 60 transferable college credit hours
- Proof of high school diploma or GED
- An overall grade point average of 2.0 in previous college work
- A passing score on the TOEFL examination or equivalent taken within the last five years for applicants for whom English is a second language (US citizens exempt)
- Students enrolling in the Adult Studies program must either own or have access to a computer
Graduation Requirements
- If your degree will be Associate of Arts a total 64 credit hours are required to graduate
- If your degree will be Bachelor of Science a total of 126 credit hours are required for graduation
- Meet the minimum General Education Requirements: 21 hours for AA or 24 hours for BS
- Completion of required Electives: 3 hours for AA or 53 hours for BS
- All 40 core courses must be completed through OKWU
- Minimum grade point average of 2.0 upon completion of core curriculum within a five-year period from initial enrollment in the program
- Payment of all tuition and fees
