I have been blessed by the on-ground staff. They have been instrumental in the success of the STEP program.
Life gets extremely busy by choice or just by the sheer pace of the world around us. When I chose to enroll in the STEP program, I had to leave my weekly Monday night Bible study group. This group charged my spirit for the following week. I looked forward to our times together. With the posts and discussions with other students at OKWU came a renewed sense of challenge. I look forward to these times now, as they spur me to dig deeper into what I truly believe. I appreciate getting credit for something that engages me spiritually and mentally.
In addition, I have been blessed by the on-ground staff. They have been instrumental in the success of the STEP program. I have been treated with respect and fairness, even though all of our communication has been through telephone, e-mail or regular postal mail. This is a testimony to the type of leadership and care that must be present for a successful program.
The STEP program has been a challenge but a rewarding experience for me thus far. It is amazing to me that something could be so organized as to assist a busy mom and career person. I am able to complete the tasks during the week and finish the class quickly within 5 weeks, without feeling like I have taken a full semester course. This is a mental relief, and one that is important to me as a student.
