Dr. Brian Lee has been named the 2011 Alumnus of the Year for his outstanding accomplishments in his profession, service to the church and his community. Lee started his own physical therapy clinic in 2007 in Boise, ID.
Dr. Brian W. Lee came to Bartlesville Wesleyan College as a new Christian to play on the soccer team. He was team captain, two-time NAIA All-American and named the NCCAA National Soccer Player of the Year during his senior season. In 1994 he graduated with a degree in Biology. He married Dawna King (’95) in 1995 and they moved to Omaha, NE where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Creighton University.
After moving to Boise, Idaho, and several years as a lead orthopedic physical therapist in inpatient and outpatient facilities, Brian realized his dream of starting his own clinic in 2007. Currently, Lee Physical Therapy provides individualized, high-quality care to hundreds of clients. Outside of work, Brian serves his community as the President of the Middleton Idaho Chamber of Commerce and a member of Ten Mile Christian Church. There he and Dawna have taught in children’s ministry for over ten years. Brian coaches his sons’ basketball and soccer.
God has blessed Brian and Dawna with three sons, Kaleb (10), Dawson (8), and Sawyer (4), who keep them busy with sports and school plays. Dawna is an English professor at Boise Bible College. Brian still plays soccer and basketball whenever given the chance. The family enjoys camping and biking in the mountains and completing various races and sprint triathlons.
Brian thanks God for his time at Bartlesville Wesleyan College. “In addition to meeting my life-long partner, BWC provided me with a foundation in faith and education that transformed me from a new Christian to the man I am today.”
