ALUMNUS OF THE YEAR

Dr. Darrell Hermann

This award recognizes an alumnus for outstanding accomplishment in his/her profession, service to church and society and to OKWU.
Dr. Hermann, originally from Minnesota, attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College where he graduated in 1970. He later attended Marion College and received his M.D. degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in 1977. He is much acclaimed in his field of pediatric medicine. His wife is the former Leanne Knapp, daughter of Miltonvale President, Dr. Wesley Knapp.

YOUNG ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENT

Chad Hayward

This award recognizes an alumnus under the age of 35 for outstanding accomplishment in his/her profession and for outstanding service to church and society.
Chad Hayward currently serves as Executive Director for the Association of Evangelical Relief and Development Organizations (AERDO). AERDO is a membership agency of over 70 relief and development organizations that exist to mobilize and equip the Christian community to end poverty. He holds a degree in political science and history from Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENT

Col. Tom Bedient

This award recognizes an alumnus for outstanding accomplishment in his/her profession and for outstanding service to church and society.
Reared in Montana, Tom Bedient attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College graduating in 1964 and participating in the traveling summer quartets. During his 33 years of military service Tom advanced from Private to Colonel. Tom served in Vietnam and was decorated many times for heroism.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO OKWU

Donna Hubbard

This award recognizes an alumnus for outstanding service to OKWU.
Donna Hubbard was born and raised in Kansas. She attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College and graduated with her A.A. degree. After her marriage to Francis Hubbard of Ottawa, Kan., they both attended Marion College. Donna has served in ministry both in support of her husband and as a speaker for women’s groups, conferences and seminars.
