Wesleyan Missionary to Australia

Melinda House has been appointed to intern missionary service in Australia. Melinda grew up in a strong Christian family from Sioux Falls, S.D., and attended the Linwood Wesleyan Church. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior when she was nine years old. When she was in the seventh grade, she lived in Trinidad, West Indies, with her parents for eight months. This was her first real exposure to another culture. When Melinda was a sophomore in high school, she asked Jesus to become the Lord of her life, and she was called to full-time Christian service at the Dakota District youth camp. In college she attended a missions conference, and before the service began, the Lord impressed upon her heart to become a missionary. Her call to missions was confirmed at EuroCamp in Croatia. Melinda graduated in 1994 from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a B.A. degree in communications and a minor in cross-cultural ministries.
