Wesleyan Missionaries to Europe and Africa
After pastoring in the United States for 16 years, Phil and Lucille Nettleton began their international ministry in 1982. They served four years as houseparents for missionary children while pastoring Calvary Wesleyan Church, an international fellowship in Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea. In 1988 they started their ministry in Liberia where Phil served as mission director until civil war necessitated their evacuation in 1990. They have since worked in Sierra Leone and Guyana. In 1994, the Nettletons returned to North America where Phil serves as the director of church relations for Global Partners – Wesleyan World Missions in Ministry. Lucille, an experienced educator, has worked as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, she is serving as an educational therapist working with children with special learning needs. In 2004, Phil and Lucille accepted appointment as pastors to missionaries. They will live in Europe and serve Global Partners’ missionaries who live in the Europe and Africa areas. Lucille will work alongside her husband in a pastoral role to the women. Her gifts and skills in education prepare her to be an educational consultant for missionary families with school-aged children.
