His love of basketball continues, he plays daily with his students and at other venues around town, OWU included! He shows the kids what hard work and dedication can do. At the same time he is quick to say what Jesus Christ has done for him.
Recently, Don was told that he had a hole in his heart. Apparently a defect he was born with. He was sent to Kansas City to have it repaired and his breathing changed immediately. He feels so much better and he didn’t even know he felt bad!
Anyone who has seen Don play basketball would say “WHAT!!” But, it’s true! He played his entire High School and College Careers with a hole in his heart the size of a quarter. And all the achievements and records set—with a hole in his heart the size of a quarter!! Unbelievable!! There’s only one explanation. God! And, God is good!!
