Scott Parkinson is from Liverpool, England, is serving in his first year as Assistant coach with the OKWU Men’s soccer program.
Coach Parkinson played collegiate soccer at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO), where he was the team captain. He helped the Drovers to four successful years at USAO, including 2 trips to the National Quarterfinals.
As a player, Coach Parkinson was named to the NAIA, 1st Team All American Team in 2012 and he was a third team All American in 2011. Parkinson was also named a NAIA Champion of character for his services to his university and program.
Parkinson was also the team captain for Oklahoma City FC in their inaugural season as a franchise in 2013, playing in the PDL. In 2012 Parkinson played for Reading United AC in the PDL.
Since graduating Coach Parkinson has been working for Oklahoma City FC as Director of Soccer Operations in their run up the their first season as a professional organization.
Coach Parkinson currently has his USSF C license and has coached at many levels across Oklahoma. He has coached at Chickasha High School since 2010 and was appointed Head Men’s soccer coach in 2013. Coach Parkinson has also coached for the Olympic Development Program in Oklahoma and coached club soccer for Oklahoma Football Club.
