Student Assistant: Cody Barham

Entering his third season with the Eagle softball program, Cody Barham continues to serve as assistant softball coach in charge of the pitching and catching staff. He also assists with recruiting.

Over the past two seasons, Barham has helped lower the team’s ERA and opponents batting average significantly each season. The pitching staff’s total strikeouts for the season more than doubled from 133 in 2012 to 350 in 2014. Barham coached the 2014 MCAC Pitcher of the Year Jenna Daniel, helping to drop her ERA by .50 points and increasing her total strikeouts by over 100.

Barham has four years’ experience in competitive softball coaching with the Oklahoma Blitz and has worked as a pitching coach and high school assistant coach. Barham was a utility player for various competitive travel baseball teams throughout his high school career.

Barham is a graduate of Rejoice Christian High School in Owasso, OK where he participated in basketball, track, and football and was named a three-time All-State athlete. He is currently pursuing his degree in Exercise Science at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
