Montgomery, Ala. — No. 3 Oklahoma Wesleyan University continued its impressive run this season after the Eagles beat the No. 14 Concordia (Calif.) 2-1 in overtime at 2013 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship – Second Round – Monday night.
Lucas Corderio and Shaddrick Kaphuka, who scored the winner in overtime, netted the goals for OKWU.
With the win, Oklahoma Wesleyan advances to the quarterfinals and will play No. 11 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Jamie Peterson coached Eagles, advanced to their first national championship quarterfinals in their first-ever trip to the final site.
Defeat meant Concordia (Calif.) is eliminated from the championship and ends its season 15-5-0.
