Pittsburg, KS — Allie Antrim continued her impressive showing this outdoor season with a pair of school records at the 5th Annual Gorilla Classic at Pittsburg State University on Saturday (Apr. 13)
The junior star from Overland Park, first dominated the women’s 3000m Steeplechase to improve her own school record with a winning time of 12:04.03.
She returned later to finish fifth in the 5000m run in a time of 19:15.90, improving the old mark previously held by Sunshine Wharton (Hattingh).
Also enjoying positive results at Carnie Smith Stadium on Saturday were senior Jarett Blain, who registered a new personal best of 41.89m in the men’s Javelin Throw, Jerrell Beck, who improved his personal best in the men’s 200m with a 23.23 seconds timing and Markquisa Hollingsworth, who also bettered her best mark for the 200m with a time of 27.66secs.
