BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball team picked up their seventh win of the season with a 10-4 victory over Mid-America Christian.
The Eagles have scored atlas 10 runs in four different games this season.
Recently named KCAC Player of the Week, Alejandro Hernandez, led Oklahoma Wesleyan at the plate. He went 1-for-2 in the ball game that included a two-run homerun over the left field fence. Trevor Achenbach had a solid performance at the plate by going 2-for-5 with a run scored. Shortstop Rudolfo Oleta went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, while DJ Resnik went 2-for-4 to round out the bats for the Eagles.
Brayden Nelson made the start on the mound as he picked up his second win of the season in as many starts. Nelson pitched five innings in the contest and struck out three batters.
Oklahoma Wesleyan’s next opponent will be Central Christian when they host the Tigers for a four-game series this weekend. First pitch for Game 1 on Friday is scheduled for 2:00pm at Doenges Memorial Stadium.
