Cross Country opens impressively at Friends Invite

Bartlesville, Okla. — Oklahoma Wesleyan University Cross Country programs opened it’s 2013 season on a solid note at the Friends University invite on Sept. 7.

Leading the way for OKWU Lady Eagles were senior Allie Antrim and freshman Sarah Sharp, who both finished in the top five in the final results.

Antrim clocked 20:01 to take fourth place overall, while Sharp posted a personal best of 20:09 for fifth place. Senior Kody Schuetz, returning from illness, finished 22nd in the 22:12.

On the men’s side freshman Erasmo Huerta clocked 30:48 in the men’s 8k, his first race ever over this distance.
