Bartlesville, Okla. — The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Women’s Soccer coach Vladan Glavonic confirms the signing of Daniela Mejia for the coming 2014-2015 soccer season.
Mejia is the daughter of David and Maria Mejia and hails from Huston, TX.
She attends Mayde Creek High School where she is expecting to complete her high school diploma at the end of this May.
She is part of her high school varsity team and will be a great talent to add to the soccer program.
The addition of Daniela will look to strengthen the Lady Eagles squad with great players and good competition for the starting position.
Coach Glavonic said: “Daniela is a very good addition to our back line.
“She can cover every position in the defense and I am very excited that we are going to have the opportunity to have her in our team for the next 4 years.”
The OKWU Lady Eagles had a record of 15-5-2 last year and they were MCAC regular season champions. The home opener for Lady Eagles will be on August 23rd at 7pm.
