Oklahoma Wesleyan Baseball played a three game series against Hasting College (NE) this weekend. The Eagles (10-6) took two out of three from Hastings. In game one Senior Pitcher Chris Needham took the mound for the Eagles. Needham (1-2) went the distance throwing a complete game. He struck out eight, scattered seven hits, and giving up only two runs in nine innings. Helping lead the way offensively was Senior Outfielder Johnny Porter going 3-3 with 3 RBI’s on the day. The Eagles won the game 8-2.

On Saturday the Eagles split games losing game 2, 11-0. In the rubber match the Eagles sent out Freshmen Pitcher Evan White to take the mound. White (2-0) threw a complete game shut out striking out four, walking only one, and giving four hits. The Eagles won the game 1-0 on Junior Cory Ford’s lead off home run in the bottom of the first inning and that was all White needed to secure the victory for the Eagles.

Next up for the Eagles is Friends University on March 2nd 2pm start time at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium in Downtown Bartlesville.
