BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (3-2-10) – After receiving an at-large bid into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division II Men’s Basketball Championship on Tuesday, the defending champion Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles received their draw.

On Thursday, March 11, they will face the 2009-10 Dakota Athletic Conference Tournament Champion Jamestown College (N.D.). Tip off for the first round game at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo., is set for approximately 7:30 p.m.

The Eagles will enter the tournament with a 27-4 record on the season, losing in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship to Bellevue (Neb.) on Saturday, 75-73. Their first round opponent enters the tournament on a high note, getting the automatic bid from the DAC by defeating S.D. School of Mines, 79-57, in the championship game. The Jimmies have a 20-11 record this season.

Leading the way in scoring for the Eagles this season is MCAC Player of the Year Steve Briggs, averaging 21.4-points a game this season. Just behind Briggs is fellow First Team All-Conference performer Sadiel Rojas, who is averaging a double-double at 17.6-points and 11.3-rebounds a contest.

For the Jimmies, their leader is 6’6 Junior CJ Peeters, who enters the tournament averaging 16.6-points and 5.8-rebounds.

The winner of the contest between the Eagles and Jimmies will face the victor of the game that follows between Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) and Hastings College (Neb.). The second round game is set to tip around 9:15 p.m. on March 12.
