The Eagles (11-7) took the field Saturday against a very good Oklahoma Christian (8-4) team, and they came out on top with a 2-1 victory. The Eagles were led by Senior Pitcher Chris Needham (2-2), who went the distance, striking out nine, walking one, and surrendering only one run. The game was scoreless going into the sixth inning when the Eagles starting putting a rally together to score both runs on a Mason Feeler double to right centerfield. Coach Kelley was asked about the game and says, “It feels really good to win these close ball games. There will come a time in the conference when we will see that same situation and come through again on top.”
Next up for the Eagles is a road trip to Moore, OK to play Hillsdale Baptist College on Tuesday, March 8th. Double header starts at noon on the campus of Hillsdale Baptist.
