The Men’s Baseball returned home after 9 games on the road, including 8 of them during their spring break.
The Eagles score 22 runs in two games yesterday to Hillsdale Baptist’s 2 runs. The Eagles were led offensively by Senior JD Nalder, he went 4-6 on the day. Junior Cory Ford went 3-6 on the day with 5 RBI’s; Junior Nick Palese went 5-6 with 3 doubles and 4 RBI’s. Freshmen Kraig Kelley was 3-4 in the first game with 3 RBI’s.
The Eagles won game one 12-2 and game two 10-0. In game one Junior Trevor Cook threw 6 innings only giving up 6 hits, 2 runs, striking out 2. Junior David Nathan started game two throwing 6 innings of shut out baseball, striking 8, and scattering 2 hits on the day.
The Eagles are 18-11 going into their first conference series this weekend against Peru State College (NE). Game times are Friday 12PM and 2PM. Saturday’s times are 11AM and 1PM. Games will be played at the OKWU Field just north of campus.
