The OKWU Lady Eagles came up a little short today as they took on a tough NCAA DII team on the road. The ladies fell to Cameron University 69-56. The ladies were only down 3 points at the half and were looking for a big 2nd half. However, Cameron was able to pull away in the second half despite a great effort by the entire OKWU team. Nichole Tate was the leading scorer for the ladies with 17 points. She also chipped in with 5 rebounds. Jordan Griffith came up big on the boards for the team with 7 rebounds. The ladies competed very hard and have nothing to be ashamed of as they turned in a great performance against a very tough NCAA team. Their next game will be the first in the conference season.
