The OKWU Men’s Basketball Team anxiously awaited the releasing of the 2011 NAIA National Tournament Bracket that was released last night. The Eagles will be making their fourth straight appearance and won the tournament in 2009.
The Eagles will tip-off their opening round game on Thursday, March 10th at 9;15pm. Their opponents will be Sterling College (KS) out of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. OKWU comes into the tournament with a 27-4 record, while Sterling comes in with a record of 21-10.
Leading the Eagles is senior forward Sadiel Rojas. Rojas was just announced MCAC Player of the Year and is currently second in the nation in both scoring (25.8ppg) and rebounding (11.6rpg). Head Coach for the Eagles, Donnie Bostwick, was also just announced MCAC Coach of the Year.
