Sophomore, Alica Efron broke her personal best and OKWU school record in the weight throw this weekend at the Oklahoma Christian University Invitational Indoor meet held at the indoor facilities on the campus of Oklahoma University. Efron threw the implement 42-10.25 feet—over foot farther than her previous record.
Junior Rich Brown placed fourth in the men’s heptathlon. Brown broke his personal best record in the 60m dash, 1000m run, pole vault, high jump and shot put. The 60m hurdles and high jump rounded out the heptathlon competition.
Sophomore Leslie Smith also placed fourth in the women’s pentathlon. She competed in the long jump, shot put, 60m hurdles, 800m run and high jump.
