Lady Eagle Volleyball coach Kylee Miller is pleased to announce the weekend signing of Amanda Muncy to a 2009 letter of intent.

Muncy, a native of Denton, Texas, is a 5’7” utility player that will be able to step in at any spot to help her new team.

“I’m completely thrilled about Mandy signing,” an ecstatic coach Miller said. “She’s so versatile that I go back and forth about what position she’ll most likely train at here at Oklahoma Wesleyan.”

“She’s a fast athlete, especially defensively and in transition, with qualities that will impact our program right away.”

Muncy comes to Oklahoma Wesleyan with a decorated high school career, including: 2008 second team all-area, first team all-district, three time Denton Record-Chronicle Player of the Week. The versitile player also comes with academic honors including academic all-district.

She was also recognized as a leader on her high school squad, given the honor being named team captain her senior season, as well as the most valuable player.
