The Eagle Soccer team continued their success yesterday with a 5-1 victory over Missouri Baptist College, with all five goals coming from a different player.

With the game starting a little slow the Eagle’s only scored 1 goal in the first half off of a set piece where Mark Bloxam scored from inside the box. In the second half OKWU started heating up as Justin Camacho, Lucas Almeida, Ben Rummage, and Cameel Hourani all stepped up and scored a goal apiece, with David Critchley, Lucas Almeida, and Cameel Hourani had assists.

Midway through the season the Eagles currently have a 7-1-2 record and are looking to continue this success and make a run for the regional and national tournaments. Head Coach Jamie Peterson is confident in his team to accomplish this task saying “I think if we continue to win games these things will take care of themselves. Our next goal is to win against Central Christian College.” With a balanced attack, great chemistry, and the right goals this team is sure to reach their goal of making some noise in the post season.

Next up for the OKWU Men’s Soccer Team is a conference game versus Central Christian College this Saturday at 2pm. Saturday is also homecoming so come to the OKWU soccer field to enjoy the festivities and support the team!
