Oklahoma Wesleyan University Men’s Soccer team was ranked in the top 25 in the nation for National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, NAIA, last week. The team also received a ranking of number two in the nation from the National Christian Colleges Athletic Association, NCCAA, for the second week in a row.

“This is the first time since 2000 that the men’s team has cracked the top 25,” said coach Jamie Peterson, OKWU’s Head Men and Women’s Soccer coach.

“This is a big step for the program and where we want it to be,” said Peterson.

The number two ranking for NCCAA is a ranking that comes out each week and is based on receiving votes in NAIA.

Currently the OKWU Men’s Soccer Team has a record of six and three.

“This is an exciting time for the program,” said Peterson, “God has blessed us with guys who are dedicated and who have worked hard to make this possible.”
