David Rannabarger established a new school record for the 8k run as the Eagle Cross Country teams competed in their second meeting this season on Friday, September 10 – at Friends University.
The senior from Stayton, OR, ran a time of 26:49 to erased the previous record of 27:08 on his way to finishing second in the race.
Devon Arredondo was the second Eagle runner to cross the finishing line with a time of 29.26 for 29th overall.
Completing the list of competitors were Austin Blain with a time 30.47, Andrew Townes with 34.02, while Patrick Buntt showed coverage to finish with a time of 36:06, despite running most of the race hurt.
A total of 106 runners from 13 schools competed in the men’s race and team finished 8th.
On the women’s side, freshman Allie Antrim recorded a personal best of 20:01 to finish 4th in the women’s 5k race.
She led home junior Genevieve Estes, who also ran a personal best of 21:08 for 21st overall and Michal Jenner, who posted 21:21 for 26th overall.
Other Lady Eagles at the meet were Lisa Lord (22.24), Rachael Sanchez (23:47), Jannette Young (23:48), Shannon Coutouzis (25:32), Anna Lamar (28:02) and Kelsie Crouch (28:32).
A total of 99 runners from 13 schools entered the women’s race and the Lady Eagles finished 5th.
