BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (4-7-10) — The OKWU women’s basketball coaching staff is proud to announce the signings of two guards, Katie Biles and Elizabeth Shafer, to a national letter of intent for the 2010-11 season.
Biles is an outstanding player from Mounds High School in Northeast Oklahoma. Coach Britney Kannady is excited about the athleticism Biles will bring to the Lady Eagles with her quickness and ability to handle the ball.
A transfer from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Shafer will be an asset to the Lady Eagles next season, bringing maturity and college experience. Pictured in the bottom photo with Shafer is her mother and father, Darlene and Cam Shafer, as well as coach Kannady and OKWU admissions representative Natalie Noble.
