Oklahoma Wesleyan head volleyball coach Kylee Miller announced on Wednesday the signing of a letter of intent for the 2009 season by RaeLeigh Shockley.

A native of Spring, Texas, Shockley played her high school volleyball for coach Matt Tillman at Spring High School, where she was awarded the team’s best all-around player, as well as the best team passer.

“RaeLeigh will quickly become a crowd favorite here at Oklahoma Wesleyan,” said coach Miller. “She’s small in stature, but plays so big! Everything about her play is controlled, yet explosive.”

Coach Miller went on to say about the 5’7” signee, “She’s a playmaker that will surprise a lot of teams.”

Shockley is currently participating in club volleyball, playing for Cool Courts Volleyball, under the instruction of Annesia Penright.

The 2009 Lady Eagle season is set to begin early in September.
