The OKWU Volleyball team won 2 out of 3 matches this weekend in a tri-match at Southwestern Christian University getting wins over Southwestern Christian University and Central Christian College. Haskell University was the only team to beat OKWU on the weekend.
In the win versus Southwestern Christian Alica Efron led the Lady Eagles with 14 kills, while Leslie Smith had 10. Against Central Christian Krista Baugher came off the bench and led the team with 7 kills, and Mandy Muncy and Amber Rouse combined had 23 digs.
Head Coach Tracie Collins was very pleased with her team’s performance saying “We showed some character and fight with a come behind win versus Southwestern. These wins put us 3-2 in conference play and overall 7-11. We are ready for JBU Tuesday night.”
Next up for the Lady Eagles is a home game against John Brown University on Tuesday September 28th at 7 pm.
