This season the OKWU Volleyball team is not taking the easy way out when it comes to scheduling. The Lady Eagles start of this season with their first nine matches on the road against pretty tough opponents. This is only preparing this team to reach their goals by the end of this season. Lead by first year head coach Tracie Collins these Lady Eagles are striving for a winning season and are working very hard to reach that goal. In the middle of this nine game road stand Coach Collins still feels confident in what this team is trying to accomplish. She says “We are still focused and are striving for a winning season. We continue to improve each match and are focused to perfect the small things which will give us success in the end.”
Keep your eye on this determined, focused team as they keep improving and learning how to play and trust each other on the court. This squad has the potential to make some noise as the season progresses.
The OKWU Volleyball team is traveling to Sterling, KS this weekend to compete in the Sterling College Tournament and their first home matches are slated for September 14th against conference rival College of the Ozarks at 6pm. Come out the 14th to support the Lady Eagles!
