Eagles Baseball Top Bacone College

Bartlesville, Okla. – The Eagles (3-1) offense explodes to win home opener against Bacone College after taking 2 of 3 from Lyon College on the road opening weekend.

The Eagles offense, paced by Junior Cody Riley, exploded for a 14 run effort in Tuesday’s home opener at Doenges Stadium.

Riley had a 3-3 day at the plate, beginning with at 3 run blast in the 1st inning that set the tone for the Eagle offense.

Riley finished with 6 RBI on the day.

Freshman Connor Garcia (1-0) picked up his first win of his Eagle career. Garcia went 5 innings giving up 1 earned run on 6 hits, while walking no batters and striking out 6.

Chris Mcelderry finished the Eagles efforts on the mound throwing two scoreless innings, walking none and striking out 2.

Other notables at the plate for the Eagles on Tuesday were Jose Ruiz (3-3, 1 RBI), Nick White (1-3, 2 RBI) and Senior Josh Davis (1-1, 2 RBI).

The Eagles will host Mid-America Nazarene at home this weekend in a single 9 on Friday and a DH on Saturday. The game on Friday will begin at 2:00 at Doenges Stadium.

The double-header will begin at 12:00 on Saturday.
