Point Lookout, MO — Following its narrow defeat to Central Christian last week, the Oklahoma Wesleyan Men’s Basketball team was on the better side of that result on Tuesday night – edging College of the Ozarks 65-64 in overtime on the road.
Trailing 31-34 at half-time, the Eagles outscored the Bobcats 26-23 in the second half to force the overtime play before scoring 8 against Ozarks’ 7 in that period to take the win.
Tyler Woods shot 7 for 14 from the field to finish with 16 points and four rebounds, while Devin Harris added 13 points, five assists, five rebounds and two steals.
Rodrick Ogletree had 10 points and five boards in the victory for the Eagles (16-6), which improved to 7-2 in the conference.
Mike Wiebe led two Bobcats players with double-double.
Wiebe finished with 22 points and massive 17 rebounds, while Nathane Simniok added 15 points and 10 defensive boards for College of the Ozarks in the defeat.
