KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Bracket) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the bracket for the 23rd annual NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship, and OKWU men will face Morningside.
The Eagles (24-9) will battle with No. 12 Morningside (Iowa) in the early morning game, on Thursday, March 13, at 8:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, just the women, the Eagles secured a passage into the tournament via an At-Large bid and will be hoping to push on and go deep into a tournament that they won in 2009.
The 32-team, single elimination format will take place from March 12 – 18 at Keeter Gymnasium in Point Lookout, Mo., on the campus of College of the Ozarks. This venue serves as the host for the 15th-straight season.
The championship kicks off at 8:30 a.m. CST each of the first three days, with eight games scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Quarterfinal action tips off at 1 p.m. on March 15 with the semifinals slated for March 17 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The championship final will start at 6:05 p.m. on March 18 as the game will be broadcast in high definition on ESPN3.com.
