Eagles Topped MCAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – Oklahoma Wesleyan University, the regular season champion from last year, has been selected as the top team in the 2014 MCAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

The Eagles, which finished the 2013 season with a 19-3 overall record (5-0 MCAC), secured the the MCAC regular season title before losing to Bellevue University in conference tournament final.

The Jamie Peterson coached Eagles qualified for the NAIA National Tournament where they advanced to the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, Bellevue University, the 2013 MCAC tournament champion, earned the No. 2 slot in the preseason coaches’ poll, following a 9-9 overall record (4-1 MCAC) last season.

Waldorf College, which posted an 8-10-1 mark (3-2 MCAC) on the term, is picked third in the 2014 preseason MCAC rankings, with Central Baptist College (t-4th), Central Christian College (t-4th) and York College (6th), Rounding out the rankings.
