Eagles Will Face No. 6 Georgia Gwinnett In NAIA Baseball World Series

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Bracket) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the official seeds and bracket for the 2014 Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series, with the OKWU Eagles taking on Georgia Gwinnett in their opener.

After breezing through the Opening Round Series and winning the Jackson Bracket earlier this week, No. 3 Oklahoma Wesleyan (55-6) will now square off No. 6 Georgia Gwinnett (52-11) in the third game of the tournament hosted by Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), at 3 p.m. on Friday May 23.

The 2014 Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series, a 10 Team double elimination tournament, runs from May 23 – 30, and all games will take place at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho.

Both the Eagles and Georgia Gwinnett, as well as San Diego Christian and Tabor, are each making its program’s first-ever appearance in the World Series.
