Bartlesville, Okla. — Junior guard Devin Harris paced the Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s basketball team to a pair of MCAC victories over the weekend.
On Friday night, Harris scored 28 points and dished out a superb 16 assists as the Eagles (20-9) kept Central Christian College quiet in overtime to seal a 92-83 win.
Harris also pulled down five rebounds and picked off four plays in the win.
Shawn Seymore and Tyler Woods both finished with 19 points, as OKWU avenged the one point defeat they suffered when the two sides met the first time in Kansas.
Kaelon Gary carried Central Christian with 21 points with Aaron Cannon finishing with 15 and Chris Jones, 13 in the defeat.
SATURDAY’S WIN – HARRIS STARS AGAIN
The OKWU men’s basketball team picked up another big win on Saturday, this time an 81-76 result over the College of the Ozarks.
And it was Harris, who paced the home side again with another big night.
The transfer ball handler scored 33 points and handed out seven assists on a night when his team needed him.
Steven Cooks was also an impressive contributor, as he added 21 points and four rebounds, for the Eagles, which won back-to-back games and finished fourth behind York and Bellevue in the MCAC.
Mike Wiebe had a superb 44 points at the disappointing end for CofO.
