Johnson and Hernandez Sweep KCAC Baseball Player of the Week Honors

WICHITA, Kan. – Zach Johnson and Alejandro Hernandez of (RV) Oklahoma Wesleyan University have earned the KCAC Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Feb. 6-12 by a vote of conference sports information directors.

Johnson was dominant on the mound in his only start of the week against Hastings College. Johnson pitched all seven innings of the run-ruled game and only gave up two hits, while striking out nine total batters.

Hernandez had an outstanding showing for (RV) Oklahoma Wesleyan this past week. Hernandez did it all for the Eagles as he combined for a 11-for-19 (.579) performance at the plate. He had 11 RBI’s, 11 runs scored, three home-runs, two walks, double, triple, and a stolen base.
