Bartlesville, Okla. – Mark Molder wants to build his program around the strength of the team’s shooting and the OKWU Lady Eagles have just added a vital piece of element.
Molder, who led the Lady Eagles basketball program to its first ever NAIA National Championships this past season, confirmed the signing of Kayla Morgan, who he is “super excited” about working with in the coming season.
“We have been recruiting Kayla since here junior year in high school and are super excited to have her in our program,” an excited Molder said on Wednesday.
Molder had high praises for Morgan, a 5’8” shooting guard from Salina Oklahoma, who is well known throughout Oklahoma High Schools for her abilities as a basketball player.
He believes she has been blessed with the talent to shoot, adding that there’s not too many who can match her in shooting in the state.
“I don’t know if there is a better shooter in the entire state,” Molder said. “We are blessed to have such a great kid and basketball player join our program.
Morgan was recently named to OGBCA All-State team. The Lady Eagles open next season on October 29th against Friends University.
