Lady Eagles Basketball beat Central Baptist 69-40; 6-0 in MCAC

Bartlesville, Okla — The Oklahoma Wesleyan Women’s Basketball team collected yet another victory at home to improve its overall record and extended its MCAC hot streak this season with a 69-40 victory over Central Baptist College on Saturday.

The Mark Molder-coached OKWU team are now 14-3 on the season. Oklahoma Wesleyan is ranked #22 in the latest NAIA ranking release.

Delaney Jones got the ball rolling from the opening tip-off to end with a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Eagles.

Jones shot 5-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-6 from three point range as OKWU extended its conference winning streak to 6-0 and moved to the top of the standings.

Shelby Graham collected 10 points, while Chelsea Davis hit all three of her attempts from the field, which came from the 3-point range, including the back-to-back three pointers that won the fans free Taco.

The Lady Eagles are now on an 8-0 overall win streak.

Also useful on the evening was Nichole Tate, who finished with eight points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Megan Jones had six points, five boards, four assists and three steals in the win.

Alyssa Drake led the Central Baptist College team with 12 points, while Kayla Gardner added 10 points in the defeat.
