Omaha, Neb. — The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s basketball team split its MCAC Conference games on the road this past weekend.
Against Waldorf in Iowa on Friday night, Delaney Jones scored 12 points and Christa Beasler finished with 11 and the Lady Eagles picked up a comfortable 94-61 victory over the hosts.
Victory saw the travelers completing the season sweep of the Warriors.
However, the Mark Molder coached OKWU team had its seven game win streak snapped after going down 58-72 to No. 12 College of Saint Mary in Nebraska on Saturday.
Megan Jones led the Lady Eagles with 14 points and pulled down six rebounds, as the visitors struggled on the afternoon – going just 31.7 percent from the field on 20 of 63 shooting.
Deaundra Young paced College of Saint Mary with a game high 22 points and seven rebounds in their winning performance.
Oklahoma Wesleyan is now 13-10 on the season and 6-2 in MCAC Conference play.
