POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – Oklahoma Wesleyan University has earned the top spot in the 2013-14 MCAC Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was released Thursday (Oct. 17).

The Lady Eagles, who finished the 2012-13 season ranked 18th in the NAIA National Poll, following a 24-6 overall record, won the regular season MCAC Championship with a 15-1 mark in conference play.

That accomplishment brought to an end a streak of nine straight conference regular season titles by College of the Ozarks.

The Mark Molder-coached team also advanced to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time ever last season, but fell in the first round to the College of Idaho.

Rounding out the preseason rankings are Haskell Indian Nations University (4th), Waldorf College (5th), Central Baptist College (t-6th), York College (t-6th) and Central Christian College (8th).
