Bartlesville, Okla. — After splitting their two games on the short road trip last weekend, the Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s basketball team returns to home action this weekend.
The Lady Eagles will take on Barclay College at 2:00pm on Saturday – looking to bounce back from the disappointing 80-78 loss to Harris Stowe College at the CofO Classic last Saturday.
OKWU went 1-1 on the trip after beating Missouri Baptist University 71-51 last Friday.
On Saturday the Lady Eagles, who are 6-3 on the season, come up against a Barclay College team struggling at the moment with a 1-6 record and is coming off a 50-72 defeat at home against Hillsdale Baptist.
The Lady Bears have also found it difficult to score points on the road this term and could find the going tough once again against a Lady Eagles team buzzing to go after its last outing.
Their defeat in Point Lookout last week to Harris Stowe was shocking, but head coach Mark Molder has quickly put that behind him and has been working hard with the group in an attempt to eliminate some of the mental mistakes that are creeping in.
Oklahoma Wesleyan has won two of its last three games and is 3-1 at home so far this season, with the only defeat coming against Friends University on opening night, back in October.
Meanwhile, Barclay College are 0-3 on the road so far, including a 44-67 defeat to Manhattan Christian on their last away trip.
