Bartlesville, Okla. — The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s basketball team made an easy return to winning ways, following a one-side 98-29 thumping of the visiting Barclays College on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles were brutal in the first half – shooting 53 percent on 23-of-43 from the field, as they raced to a comfortable 59-4 first half advantage.
Dashia Hurst led the Lady Eagles with 14 points and four rebounds, while Nichole Tate added 12 points and five boards in the win.
Courtney Backward had 11 points and played just 13 minutes in a game in which all 13 players on the OKWU roster scored.
The Mark Molder coached Oklahoma Wesleyan side were rebounding from the disappointing 80-78 loss to Harris Stowe College at the CofO Classic last Saturday.
The Lady Eagles return to action next Friday against Rhema Bible College.
