Claremore, Okla. After earning regular season conference championship, the Lady Eagles soccer team travelled to Rogers State University (RSU) for their last game of regular season.

With their dominant ball possession, switching the ball from side to side, the Eagles came close to open the scoring column, but had to wait 25 minutes into the game. Ten minutes later, Serina Gomez’s corner kick from the left side curled into the goal in a bizarre fashion to earn the second goal for Eagles. Rogers State offense threatened with long range shots, but OKWU goalie Lauren Mohammed was determined to keep it 2-0 into the half time.
The second half started with urgency as the Lady Eagles tried to possess the ball more in the attacking third. It took 2 minutes after 2nd half kickoff for senior midfielder Ashley Burnett to cross the ball for Clark who calmly placed the ball into the back of the net making it 3-0.
However, the clean sheet did not last long as RSU offense kept pressing for a goal. Their effort paid off in the 75th minute as a loose ball in the six yard off a corner kick found RSU forward Tara Garrett and she made no mistake to convert it into the goal to the joy of her home fans. Final score was 3-1 in favor of Eagles.
