Bartlesville, Okla. — Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles notched up a pair of victories at the weekend over No. 25 College of St Mary to open its MCAC Conference action on a high.
OKWU first picked up a hard fought 64-51 victory over the Flames on Friday, before returning the following day to take a more comprehensive 83-69 result.
The pair of victories pushed the Lady Eagles to a 2-0 record to start conference action and improved 10-3 on the season overall.
Dalaney Jones led the Lady Eagles on Friday with 22, which included 6-of-11 shooting from 3-pointer on 50-percent knock down from the field.
Her twin sister Megan and Nichole Tate, were also in double figures on the night.
Megan Jones finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Tate added 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Tate was also impressive on Saturday as she led the Lady Eagles with a game-high equaling 20 points to go along with her eight boards.
Megan and Shelby Graham both added 15 points apiece and Delany chipped in with 11 for the Mark Molder coach team, which next face Waldorf College and York College in two more conference games on the road this weekend.
