Charleston, SC- Oklahoma Wesleyan senior midfielder Lucas Almeida was among the players selected on the final roster for inaugural Tourbeau Soccer Evolution Academy and Tour, Tourbeau Sports announced.
The Brazilian, Almeida, who scored eight goals and assisted on 11 of the Eagles’ goals this season, including two assists each in the NAIA first round playoffs win over Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) and John Brown in the season opener, will join six other midfielders selected from the group of NAIA players.

The list sees 21 Top Men’s Soccer Players, all of which are Seniors, who will travel the East Coast to play eight (8) professional soccer games from March 6-17.
An initial list of players were invited in mid-December, and after talks with the initial list of selections, a final group was selected to represent the Academy in the Spring of 2014.
Seventeen of the 21 players on the roster are 2013 NAIA All-Americans, with the final four selections being former NAIA All-American selections or current 1st-Team All Conference members.
Every player chosen has the desire and will to play at the next level, and the platform created by Tourbeau Sports to get incredible exposure is at their fingertips now.
“Our staff handpicked each player according to talent, experience, position and desire to play at the next level”, expressed president of Tourbeau Sports, Chase Neidig.
“This team will far exceed everyone’s expectations and we are fully committed to see each of these players land on a professional team for the 2014 season.
