KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Bracket) – The Oklahoma Wesleyan women’s basketball team will face Indiana Wesleyan in the opening round of the 23rd annual NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship, next Wednesday.
The Lady Eagles (22-11), who are making their second successive appearance at the tournament, will face the Lady Wildcats (26-7) Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
Earlier, head coach Mark Molder and assistants Ashley Jones and Jeff Jewitt, waited anxiously as the No. 22 OKWU team secured a No. 8 At-Large bid into the tournament.
The 32-team, single elimination format will take place from March 12 – 18 at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, for the 17th-straight season.
The championship kicks off at 8:30 a.m. CST each of the first three days, with eight games scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Quarterfinal action tips off at 1 p.m. on March 15 with the semifinals slated for March 17 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The championship final will start at 6:30 p.m. on March 18. Both semifinal games and the championship final will be broadcast in high definition on ESPN3.com.
