Bartlesville, Okla. — The No. 22 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Women’s basketball team knocked off Southwestern Christian 65-49 to stay undefeated in MCAC conference action on Tuesday night.
Following an unproductive outing in the first half, which saw them going into the interval trailing 24-27 after committing nine turnovers, the Lady Eagles return to shoot 48 percent from the field in the second half to secure win number five in the conference and stay unbeaten.
The Mark Molder-coached team also extended its winning streak to seven consecutive games.
Nichole Tate paced the home side with 15 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, while center Kayla Oleman contributed 13 points and six boards in the win for OKWU, which improved to 13-3 on the season.
Also hitting double figures on the night was Megan Jones, who collected a fine double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds for Oklahoma Wesleyan, who led for as many as 20 points in the second half.
Delaney Jones knocked down three-of-six from 3-point range for nine points, while Shelby Graham was productive with seven points off the bench.
Porchea Sanders led Southwestern Christian University with 17 points in the defeat.
