Oklahoma Wesleyan University Favored for MCAC Title

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – Oklahoma Wesleyan University topped the 2013 MCAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll released Wednesday (Aug. 14).

The Eagles finished 2012 with a 19-1-1 overall record (6-0 MCAC), capturing the MCAC Regular Season and Tournament Titles to advance to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round for the second-straight season.

This year head Jamie Peterson and his coaching staff have assembled another talented group of players as they seek even better performances from last season.

Bellevue University earned the No. 2 position in the preseason coaches’ poll after going 10-8-1 (5-1 MCAC) in 2012.

Central Christian College, which posted an 11-9-1 mark last season (1-4-1 MCAC), is picked third in the 2013 preseason MCAC rankings.

Rounding out the rankings are Waldorf College (4th), Central Baptist College (5th) and York College (6th).
